UTTC had over 30 Club entries for the Ontario Masters Outdoor Championships at our home stadium on July 6-7. We scored 375 points at the meet – more than the next three Clubs combined. At the end of the meet, Shaggy awarded the Doug Smith Trouphy to Coach Paul.

Another Big Turnout At Don’s Harriers 4K
We had a great turnout for the Don Farquharson 4K cross country race. We had a new record of 20 people racing, only New Market Huskies with 23 had more runners than UTTC.
Kevin Farr was on the Top M40 Team along with Mike Chang and John Willett
Once again, the Top W50 Team was Nicky Slovitt, Rita Botelho, and Lynda de Boer

Club Shines At Taylor Creek
UTTC Masters had a big turnout at the 18th Annual Ontario Masters 5K cross country race on Sunday, September 30th – finishing only 3 points behind the first place club in the XC Series standings.
Nicki, Rita and Lynda won top W50 team – breaking the Course record.
Kevin, Mike Chang, and Michal won the top M40 team
Jay Yak, John H. and Wayne won top M50 team
M35 Jay Brecher put the hammer down with 40m to go, passing Chris Deighan, to finish 1st overall.
UTTC Masters Win Ontario Athlete Of The Year Honours
Coach Chris Lemassif (L) receives the award for Ontario Masters Sprinter/Hurdler Athlete of the Year 2012 at the Ontario Athletics Awards Banquet in Toronto on September 22nd. It was a tie for the award with David Valenzuela (beside Chris)
Annie Bunting and Mike Sherar won male and Female Distance Athlete of the Year honours. They were unable to attend the ceremonies.
