W50 Team Wins At Don’s Harriers

New member Katherine Willis. Lynda de Boer, and Rita Botelho won the W50 Team title at Sunday’s Don Farquharson Memorial Harriers cross country race. They had a combined time of 56:12.

The Team of Mike Sherar, Kevin Farr, and Gary Pluim won the M40 division.

UTTC Wins Top M40 Team at Taylor Creek

The Club had a big turnout at the Ontario Masters Taylor Creek 5K Cross Country in very cold, rainy weather. The race is the first of four in the OMA Cross Country Series.

Lots Of Racing On The Weekend

Kevin and Duncan (L) competed in the Run for the Grapes 5K in St. Catherine’s on Sunday, Sept 18th.  Kevin was 5th overall and 2nd masters behind Bruce Raymer who is one of the top masters runners in the country right now.  Kevin was 17:49 on a pretty hilly out and back course.  Duncan was 4th in his age group at 25:17. In the Toronto 5K on Saturday,  Rob was 5th overall and the 1st master in 18:56; Annie (L) was the 2nd female and 1st master at 20:27 and Delilah was the 3rd woman overall in 21:09.

Kate raced the 25 miler at the Centurion and managed a 2nd place overall for the women.

Ming was 3rd in his age group at the Savage Man Triathlon and successfully conquered The Wall, which is a 31% climb on the bike course. Those who conquer The Wall receive a brick with their names on it, which is placed on the road for all to see, kind of like a hall of fame!  The Wall Video

UTTC Third Place Team at the Provincial 5K Championships

Delilah Topic, Kevin Farr, Gary Pluim, and Doug Smith placed third in the four-person age-graded team results at the OMA Provincial 5K Championships at the Carrotfast race in Bradford on Saturday August 20th.

UTTC Masters Run The Stoney Lake 5K

 Shaggy, Annie, Coach Paul and Rita ran the 5k last Saturday up by Annie’s cottage.  Annie was the first woman and Rita was the
3rd woman overall. Paul was 4th and Doug was 18th overall.  Next year Annie has suggested we have a UTTC running party at this race and have a get together at her cottage after the race.  So block the weekend after the long weekend in Aug off next year  🙂
