with a wonderful speech by Dr Michael Sherar

Coach Paul and Mike Share Ontario Masters Distance Athlete of the Year Honours
They were presented their awards at the Ontario Athletics Banquet on September 27th.
Mike Sherar set a Canadian record in the 800 metres, and was part of a M50 world record in the 4 by 800 relay.
Paul Osland won silver in the 800 metres in the World Indoor Championships, and bronze in the 800 at the World Outdoor Championships. He was also on the team setting the 4 by 800 relay World record.
UTTC Wins 7 Medals at the Canadian 5K Championships
Paul and Mike Break the World Record at Varsity
Paul Osland hands off to anchor Mike Sherar in the 4X800m Relay at the Canadian Masters Championships. Along with Serge Faucher and Andrew Tuovinen, they broke the M50 World Record in 8:36.39
Marie-Josée Le Jour Breaks The World Record
Marie-Josée Le Jour set a World Record in the W35 Throws Pentathlon on Saturday at the Toronto Track & Field Centre with an incredible 4,047 pts – beating the existing WR of 3,730 pts held by Christi McCahill of New Zealand set in Brisbane in 2001.
MJ also becomes the first W35 thrower to break the 4,000pt mark, an impressive achievement!
Her series was hammer – 48.97m, Shot – 12.38m, Discus – 46.09, Javelin – 30.29m and Weight – 16.56m. She also set a Canadian Record in the Weight Throw of 16.77m.
MJ also coaches throws at UTTC.

UTTC At The World Indoor Championships
Seven UTTC athletes competed in the WMA Indoor Championships in Budapest March 25-31st. 
Coach Chris Lemassif – 60m, 200m. 4X200m Relay CAN Record
Coach Mike Breaks The Canadian 800m Record
Assistant Distant Coach Mike Sherar ran 2:04.62in the 800m on Sunday, breaking the 2:09.28 M50 Canadian Record held by Jerry Kooymans. He broke John Willett’s M50 Club Record.
Jay Brecher ran 2:04.4 – breaking Michal Kapral’s 2:07.96 M40 Club Record.
